Wine Cozy Crochet Pattern Rainbow Apache Tears

Wine Cozy Crochet Pattern Rainbow Apache Tears

My Apache Tears Wine Cozy makes the perfect Holiday Gift! It’s simple, takes only a few hours to make, and is perfect for gifts and craft fairs.

This is the Rainbow Apache Tears crochet pattern.
In the example image I used 2 colors to make the rows easier to see – please don’t use 2 colors on the bottom, it will look stupid.

The yarn is Red Heart available at Wally World.

Hook: 4.00mm

ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
slst = slip stitch
ss = same space(s)
sp = space
repeat * * = repeat what is between the * * until you reach the end

Using dark color for the bottom
Row 1: ch 3, sc 6 in first ch, slst into first sc.
Row 2: ch 1, sc 2 ss, 2 sc in each sp, slst into first ch (12 sc)
Row 3: ch 1, *sc 2 ss, sc 1* repeat * *, slst into first ch (18 sc)
Row 4: ch 1, *sc 2 ss, sc 1 in next 2 sp* repeat * * slst into first ch (24 sc)
Row 5: ch 1, *sc 2 ss, sc 1 in next 3 sp* repeat * * slst into first ch (30 sc)
Row 6: ch 1, *sc 2 ss, sc 1 in next 4 sp* repeat * * slst into first ch (36 sc)
Row 7: ch 1, *sc 2 ss, sc 1 in next 5 sp* repeat * * slst into first ch (42 sc)
Row 8: ch 1, *sc 2 ss, sc 1 in next 6 sp* repeat * * slst into first ch (48 sc)

Change color to white
Row 9: ch 1, *using back loop only sc 1* repeat * * slst into first ch (48 sc in back loops)
Row 10 – 12: repeat Row 9.

You should now have the base and 4 rows of white.

Change color to Purple to begin Apache Tears
Row 13: ch 1, *using back loop only sc 1 in next 4 sp, dc in front loop from 3 rows below* repeat * * slst into first ch (48 sc in back loops)
NOTE: For All Apache Tear Rows: Do Not sc in the sp behind the dc. This note will Not be repeated, but applies to all Apache Tear rows.
